Job Title: National Account Manager
Location: Home Based (covering the UK & Ireland)
Hours: Full Time

Salary: £50k-£60k DOE + 20-25% OTE sales bonus (paid monthly) + car or car allowance of £500 per month

Position Overview:The National Account Manager is responsible for revenue creation, execution, and developing client accounts. In this home-based role, the National Account Manager oversees a specific client base using goal-oriented planning and execution to achieve revenue targets and objectives.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Selling Sensitech's offering of integrated information management systems and temperature-monitoring devices that provide customised in-transit solutions for environmentally sensitive and high-value products within the territory
  • Developing vertical sales opportunities in existing accounts as well as securing new business from a client base in the food industry
  • Developing strategic plans for large multi-national accounts and implementing them to meet and exceed the sales goals of the territory;
  • Acting as primary communication conduit between the customer and the company
  • Collaborating with sales colleagues in other regions and geographies to support harmonised global account management
  • Actively managing QBRs/regular business reviews with larger accounts in the territory;
  • Assisting management in defining future market needs through direct collaboration with the Product Marketing Management team
  • Providing rolling forecasts of projected sales on a monthly and quarterly basis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in food sciences, business, or another related discipline;
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated sales experience within the Food and/or Retail markets, promoting the sales of consumables, equipment, and/or services; the ideal candidate has had experience selling to major food (retail) chains; alternatively, he/she has sold perishables and/or logistics services for perishable (food) products; Experience selling at Head Office level is highly desired
  • Strong systems skills and knowledge of MS Office applications and use of SalesForce.com
  • Confident and target-oriented individual with the desire to delight the customer
  • Self-starter with solid organisation skills, attention to detail, and exemplary time management skills
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to the London area frequently
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively in the assigned territory (up to 70%) as well as to the Sensitech EMEA office in Sassenheim, the Netherlands; occasional intercontinental travel on a case-by-case basis
  • In possession of exemplary ethical standards and business practices.

Beneficial Skills & Experience

  • Experience in selling to the UK & Ireland Retail Markets, Food Service Markets
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and logistics within the UK & Ireland
  • Home-based and based in the UK
  • Previous experience working for a multinational company
