- Great opportunity to join the team as Senior National Account Manager responsible for a major grocery retailer
The role:
- Lead and manage the whole strategy for an existing major UK grocery retail account of high importance to the business
- Be able to take the customer on a journey, drive all internal resources to maintain high service levels on behalf of the customer
- Work closely with all internal colleagues across merchandising, product development and purchasing
- Be able to resolve issues, be dynamic & adaptable to an ever-changing situation with the retailer
- Understand all current market trends, competitors and become an expert in the category
- Negotiate all cost prices, trading terms and be numbers driven
- Spot new opportunities within other product areas to drive the business forward
Ideal candidate:
- In order to be considered for this opportunity you will need to have previous experience managing major UK national accounts ideally within the grocery channel. You may be operating at National Account Manager level looking to progress or currently at Senior National Account Manager level looking for a fresh challenge
- Ideally you will have worked for a non-food supplier and have an understanding of FOB and product development. For example this could be within home, toys, gift, beauty or fashion. Candidates from a more traditional FMCG category looking for a change in direction will also be considered
- You will need to buy into a business highly focussed on sustainability & it’s environmental impact. Opportunity to work for a well-established B Corp
- Must be personable, a great team player. Good at finding solutions and strong analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail, administration, analytical skills, and communication skills
