Transaction Manager Director
Working with an excellent international bank, based in the city who are looking for someone to help to :
- To provide Risk and Transaction management for a portfolio of Commercial Real Estate.
- To provide guidance and support on deal structuring and industry-related matters
- Managing CRE transactions through their life-cycle
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Supporting the origination of new business and implementation of business strategy
- Support assessment of potential, definition, and selection of target customers in assigned regions and markets.
- Support origination of target customers and maintain existing customer relationships whilst ensuring strategic criteria are met and observing earnings and risk requirements, including where applicable - cross-selling opportunities.
- Assessment of CRE transactions in accordance with underwriting guidelines, including independent assessment, indicative ratings and written recommendations on quality of transaction and plausibility of financing / development financing or restructuring proposals.
- Development and negotiation of structures and strategies for financing, including optimisation of the financing structure with regard to funding, equity burden/ risk shielding.
- Setting up, coordinating and leading deal teams and managing the credit approval process, including monitoring of the credit approval process up to the credit decision across all decision-making levels.
- Implementation and documentation of credit approvals, including negotiation of loan and collateral documentation with the customer & external parties, and management of internal administration process with other departments (e.g. Treasury, Loans Administration) and financial close management. Internal interface management with other departments as necessary.
- Ongoing monitoring of existing portfolio over the term of the loans until repayment
Maintaining high level of expertise and facilitating knowledge transfer within the wider team
- Monitoring of regulatory, sector and industry-specific market and influencing factors, including assessment of sector strategy.
- Supporting the back office and special credit departments in the development and implementation of restructuring and recovery concepts with the involvement of management and specialist lawyers.
- Support of and knowledge transfer to more junior team members and where required in special situations
Key Skills and Experience Requirements
10+ years professional real estate financing and loan management experience.
Highly experienced in structuring complex CRE transactions.
Expert knowledge of legal, regulatory and industry requirements.
Comprehensive knowledge of the UK CRE market.
Excellent credit, analytical and modelling skills.
