My client is seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Sales Assistant with an electrical background to join our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities from managing office communications to maintaining excellent customer service on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to manage multiple tasks, and committed to contributing to the smooth running of our branch.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Handle all office emails and manage the office phone line, liaising with customers and suppliers.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and customers.
- Provide outstanding customer service on the shop floor.
- Manage and display stock on the trade counter, ensuring products are well-presented and accessible.
- Carry out various tasks to support the overall running of the branch, including order picking, creating quotations, and handling trade counter sales.
- Keep the sales environment clean and tidy, ensuring it is always well-presented to positively influence performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
- Flexibility to perform various roles within the branch as needed.
- Background or understanding of electrical products and the electrical industry.

Hours:
- Rotating shifts: 7:00am – 4:30pm or 8:00am – 5:30pm
- One Saturday a month: Half day from 8:30am – 12:00pm
