Contract:12 month FTC (maternity cover)

Our client is one of the largest international shipping groups based in London. Due to the continued growth of the company, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the expanding team.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing payments/invoices
  • Issuing recharges to customers, monitor receipt.
  • Bookkeeping for a number of asset owning entities and assist the finance team in the preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting packs.
  • Perform regular Balance Sheet reconciliations, including inter-company reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly management reports, including victualling rate analysis and crew change costs
  • Assist with Year-End financial audits
  • Ensure new suppliers are set up in compliance with company policies
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed

Role Requirements

  • Recent Bachelor's Degree from a UK University is desirable
  • At least 1 year within a similar Accounts role is essential
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office functions (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to take and organize screenshots efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Basic understanding of document formatting and file management.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
