Finance Assistant

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to join our vibrant team. This role involves comprehensive finance duties including ledger management, financial reporting, and support in payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle purchase and sales ledger processing and reconciliations.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist in the month-end process.
  • Prepare financial reports and reconcile general ledger accounts to supporting spreadsheet analysis.
  • Post journal entries for accrued expenses and prepaid expenses.
  • Support the preparation of VAT returns and payroll processing.
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in using Sage 50 is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Good understanding of double-entry journal.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effective communication both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Organised and methodical approach to work.
  • Initiative and self-sufficiency with the flexibility to support team members in various tasks.
  • Ambition and drive to develop within the role.
