- Revenue Reporting: Assist in the preparation and delivery of the weekly Creator Report. This includes capturing revenue, fees, and charges related to creators (event organizers) and ensuring the accurate recognition of both customer payouts and the clients revenue and costs.
- Client Statements & Invoicing: Produce and issue weekly statements and invoices for creators/clients, ensuring accurate payouts based on the Report.
- Bank Reconciliation: Input and allocate client bank account entries into Xero and reconcile the bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Ledger Reconciliation: Reconcile creator ledger balances within Xero to the balances reported in the weekly Creator report, ensuring alignment and accuracy.
- Revenue & Cost Posting: Post revenue and costs within the appropriate business entity in Xero, ensuring they are properly categorized and reported.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Provide additional financial analysis and reporting to support the ongoing needs of the business, including ad-hoc projects related to our growth strategy.
- Month-End Close Support: Assist in the month-end close process, ensuring all relevant entries are posted and accounts are reconciled.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and contribute to implementing more efficient systems within the finance team.
- Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS or tech company.
- Xero Expertise: Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle complex reconciliations and reporting tasks.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solver with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Experience working in the SaaS industry or a high-growth tech startup.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and systems.
- Exposure to international accounting standards and multi-currency transactions.
