Accounts Receivable Assistant (3-Month Contract)

Location: London-based University

Hybrid Working: 3 days onsite, 2 days working from home

Hours: 35 hours

Hourly Rate: £17.00 - £19.00

Purpose of the Post:

  • Responsible for the creation, credit checking, and maintenance of accounts.
  • Inputting and distribution of invoices and sundry documentation.
  • Receipting, processing, and allocation of payments and refunds using various payment systems.
  • Interrogating online bank statements to identify and locate payments, facilitating the bank reconciliation process.
  • Liaising with internal and external customers via telephone, email, and in person regarding accounts, billing, and incoming payments.

Person Specification:

  • Proven working experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk, bookkeeper, accountant, or equivalent, preferably in a Shared Services environment.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products and financial systems
  • Experience in higher education is preferred.
  • Excellent client and customer service skills.
