We have fabulous opportunity within a leading Entertainment Group for a bright and outgoing individual at the early stages of their accounting career!

This multi-award winning organisation has various business interests that lay within TV & Entertainment and with a great reputation within the industry it continues to grow both in the UK & US.

This varied and interesting position will be based within a thriving business unit that is fast paced and requires someone with an equal energy. You will support the division providing day to day financial support, alongside commercial insight to allow for positive business decisions within this creative division. The role has the potential to develop, allowing you to further progress your skillset.

The role will suit an individual who ideally has some previous accounting experience but will also consider and bright and ambitious recent graduate. You will be looking for a varied role that will see you gain exposure to all aspects of finance and have either commenced, or looking to start, studying towards your accountancy qualifications. The company will support your professional accountancy studies.

As an individual you will need to have a friendly and confident personality and feel comfortable interacting, on a daily basis, with colleagues and stakeholders both within the business and externally. You will need to demonstrate that you are a quick learner, able to work with logic and initiative and strive to continuously learn and develop your skillset.

You will a self starter with great attention to detail, be highly organised and work accuracy and thrive in a dynamic and highly creative environment.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Maintain and reconcile the purchase and sales ledgers
  • Follow invoices through to payment, liaising with the relevant individuals to ensure timely
  • Intercompany accounting and monthly reconciliation to ensure appropriate recharges are raised
  • Assist with maintaining and reconciling the bank accounts, ensuring monitoring of cash positions
  • Input weekly sales figures and prepare/raise sales invoices
  • Allocation of incoming monies
  • Manage the company credit cards and expenses ledger
  • Review and assist with debtors as required
  • Assist with ad hoc business analysis
  • Proactively assist with identifying opportunities for process improvement and commercial enhancements

Candidate requirements:

  • Self starter who is looking to build a career in finance and who thrives in a busy environment
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to your audience and able to interact with individuals at all levels through to senior management
  • Friendly, approachable, outgoing team player who has a collaborative approach
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines within a busy environment
  • Keen to learn, will take direction and strive to
  • Strong academics
  • Logical approach and able to work within initiative and accuracy
  • A genuine interest in the media/entertainment industry.
