We are exclusively partnering with a well funded charity that through recent growth are now seeking a Finance Assistant. This is a 6 month FTC offering hybrid working (2 days per week in the office), looking to pay up to £28,000.

You will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, supporting the finance staff in their overseas offices, liaising with the fundraising team, managing the UK payroll function, and the day to day running of the finance function.

Key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant role include:

  • Review monthly bank reconciliations from overseas offices.
  • Act as the main administrator for the accounting system (Xledger) - setting up new users
  • Processing financial data, accurately input purchase invoices, and manage credit control.
  • Ensure accurate import and reconciliation of all financial transactions.

The ideal Finance Assistant will have the following attributes/skills:

  • Candidates with a keen interest in starting an accountancy qualification will be considered.
  • Excellent Excel, and MS office skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and pro-active in seeking out answers to problems
  • Discretion and a proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
