VisionFR are acting on behalf of a fabulous PR Agency who are seeking a confident Finance Assistant. It’s a dynamic agency with a vibrant culture. As Finance Assistant you will be responsible for the deliver of AP (Purchase Ledger) and support the finance team.

Finance Assistant Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all financial records and procedures are in line with UK compliance
  • Ensure the bank reconciliation is completed every day
  • Process supplier invoices daily and deal with any queries that arise
  • Manage, check and prepare the company credit cards and ensure all receipts are provided
  • Manage the petty cash
  • Create new supplier accounts and chase for missing invoices
  • Prepare the weekly supplier payment run
  • Manage, check and prepare for payment the expenses
  • Manage the aged debtor report and chase overdue invoices
  • Prepare the data for the utilisation and overservicing report
  • Prepare the office budgets spreadsheet and advise on overspends
  • Prepare miscellaneous reports requested by the FD
  • Support the FD during the annual audit
  • Cover for the SFE when on annual leave, raise client invoices and respond to issues
  • Be a point of call for all account handlers for any purchase ledger queries
  • Be a point of call for any Paprika issues
  • Support in office facilities when the Office Manager is away
  • Add new starters to Paprika
  • Train new starters in Paprika
  • Keep the FD updated on all activity and pre-empt any issues
  • Act as Fire Marshall and Emergency First Aider

Finance Assistant Key Attributes Required:

  • Paprika experience is preferable but not essential
  • Experience of end-to-end AP
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Interpersonal, communication and teamworking skills
  • Previous finance experience in a creative agency ( marketing / design/ PR / production etc)
