Finance Assistant - £33,000 - £37,500 + benefits - London, Tower Hill (Hybrid 2 days in the office)

FryerMiles is partnering with a charity/commercial organisation in Tower Hill, London, to recruit a Finance Assistant. The organisation is in the fortunate position of being self-funded, utilising its significant investments to generate income for its charitable giving. They have just implemented a new ERP system and are in search of an experienced Finance Assistant. The successful Finance Assistant will be well organised and motivated with attention to detail to take-over an existing role and help with the transition until the new system is bedded in.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a small team, you will be responsible for all day to day processing of UK finance transactions.

This role is made even more interesting as although it's a small organisation, it operates more like a small conglomerate due to its diverse functions so although volumes are low, there is a wide range of activities, so the work is varied and interesting.

The duties of the Finance Assistant include:

  • Processing of supplier invoices, credit card transactions and employee expenses
  • Daily maintenance of the cash books and banking
  • Setting up supplier payments for approval
  • Reconciling bank accounts and credit card balances
  • Producing other reconciliations and reports as required

The successful Finance Assistant will:

  • Have excellent attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player with the ability to work under their own initiative and pressure but comfortable to ask for support.
  • Have good Excel skills (ability to do VLookUps and Pivot Tables independently)
  • Experience of netsuite would be an advantage but not a prerequisite.
