Would you like to be a key part of one of London’s most exclusive professional practices? We are working with a highly respected firm of accountants in Central London that are now looking for a new Finance Assistant to join their internal finance team.

Supporting the firms finance manager and management accountant you will be able to take on a mix of important fundamental finance tasks that are key to the smooth running of the firm, whilst working closely with business decision makers.

The firm are known for their supportive and balanced work approach, where some training can be provided in the role, although the individual will need a good grounding of finance experience to be considered. This role could be suitable for someone looking for a full time or a part time role. There will also be the opportunity to partake in the firms regular social, sporting and charitable events!

Key responsibilities of this Finance Assistant role include;

  • Maintain bank accounts via processing of payments, bank reconciliations, checking and chasing for necessary information.
  • Maintain ledgers and undertake regular cash collections, alongside reviewing the company’s bank account.
  • Assist with regular reporting such as sales ledgers, cash collections, WIP and new clients.
  • Setup new clients onto the firm’s database.
  • Undertake ad hoc reporting on relevant data as required by the finance team.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts, raise sales invoices and credit notes.

You

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant finance experience gained within an internal finance team.
  • Advanced excel skills including the use of V lookups and Pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of Sage and CCH accounting software is desirable.
