Are you detail-oriented, organised, and an experienced Finance Assistant looking to work in a lovely two-form entry Primary School in Tower Hamlets?

This Ofsted rated "Good" school will only consider finance assistants who have worked within an educational setting - ideally at a school.

Pay rates of between £14 - £17 per hour, are being offered depending on experience.

This three day a week role is an ASAP start for the right candidate. Expected hours are 8.30AM - 4Pm, 30 min lunch.

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the school's financial operations. Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will ensure accurate financial record-keeping, manage transactions, and provide essential support for budget monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments in line with school policies.
  • Create BACS purchasing orders
  • Experience of Arbor (ideally)
  • Maintain accurate financial records using our financial management systems.
  • Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Support the collection and reconciliation of income, such as school trips and events.
  • Communicate with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve queries promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and school policies.
