We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our clients Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with solid experience in financial management, particularly with Sage 200 Accounting Software, and a background in the Education sector is advantageous. The position requires handling confidential financial information with the utmost accuracy and integrity.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 200 software, which is essential for this role.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts meticulously.
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage petty cash and handle expense claims with attention to detail.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and tax compliance.
  • Perform ad hoc administrative duties as needed.
  • Manage the Purchase ordering system effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounting Software.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of financial regulations and tax compliance.
  • Previous experience in the Education sector is beneficial but not mandatory.
