Are you a confident Finance Assistant with prior experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting, and analysis, seeking an exciting opportunity to join a PE-backed business?

Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to join a lean and agile finance team on a permanent basis, with one day in the office per week in London.

As the Finance Assistant, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, proper authorisation, and timely execution of invoices, vendor payments, and expense reports.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and expedite payments.
  • Manage the accounts receivable process, including customer billing, monitoring receivables, and proactively following up on outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales and Customer Success teams to promptly resolve billing queries and disputes.
  • Generate reports on accounts payable and accounts receivable metrics for management review.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and cash management duties, including recording bank deposits and payments, updating and distributing cash receipts, and posting cash to bank accounts, AR, and AP ledger accounts.
  • Assist in analysing cash flow, aging reports, and forecasting payment/collection trends.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial processes and efficiencies.
  • Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R, enabling management to gain a better understanding of collection progress.

Key experience and skills required as the Finance Assistant:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar Finance Assistant role.
  • Recent experience with NetSuite is essential for this position.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage deadlines with confidence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills highly desirable.
