My client, a media business based near TOTTENHAM COURT ROAD, is seeking a FINANCE ASSISTANT to join them whilst they begin their next exciting growth phase. This is an incredible time to join this amazing business who really value their staff.

The Finance Assistant provides full support to the Finance team with a main focus on the Accounts Receivable (AR), they will also have some additional Accounts Payable (AP) responsibilities.

THE ROLE

  • Responsible for processing and reconciling the majority of all Media invoices, ensuring all internal and external queries are dealt with efficiently.
  • Attend regular meetings with internal and external parties to discuss queries and ensure media owner accounts are kept up to date and any queries resolved.
  • Maintain the AP mailbox and ensure all emails are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Assist the AP Senior with the preparation and processing of payment runs & payment allocations where necessary.
  • Assist with the year-end audit process.
  • Provide assistance to the wider finance team on a daily basis, and on ad hoc projects, where required.
  • Report day-to-day workload to the Finance Manager.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Finance/Maths related degree or AAT is highly desirable
  • The ability to pick up new systems and concepts quickly
  • Logical and numerate mindset.
  • Have a decent level of knowledge in MS Excel
  • Positive can-do attitude.
  • Drive, ambition and initiative to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritise their own workload and meet deadlines accordingly.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an excellent communicator.
  • Effective at working alone and in a team.
