Our client are recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their team.

You will be introduced to all finance duties including:

Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, management accounts and forecasting however initial focus will be:

Purchase ledger

- Stamp & code all purchase invoices.

- Posting of purchase invoices (Sage 50 / Sage job costing).

- Deal with PL enquiries.

- Monitor Finance inbox.

- Statement reconciliations.

- Formation of weekly supplier payment runs.

- Aged creditors Analysis -updating payments forecast.

- Allocation of payments.

- Remittance advices.

- Fixed Asset register & capitalising assets.

- Purchase ledger filing.

- Using Sage Job costing reports to analyse job costs/profitability.

Month end accounts

- Prepayments

- Bank Rec’s

- Variance analysis of direct / overhead expenditure.

- Preparation of monthly board pack.

- Analysing nominal codes and actual spending to produce forecasted budget for next year.

Skills Required

- Numerical

- Work under pressure in multi-disciplined, busy office environment.

- Presentable

- Good communicator.

- Can adapt to differing tasks, with a strong will to learn and take on new responsibilities.

- Good Microsoft skills, particularly Excel. Sage 50 advantageous.

- Presentable, positive, confident individual who works well both on their own and with a busy outgoing team
