Day-to-day of the role:- Manage end-to-end financial transactions for the company’s Yacht Facility, including underwriting, claims management, premium collections from agents, and payments to insurance companies.
- Organise timely BACS premium payments and issue payment bordereaux.
- Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts.
- Process accurate and timely claims payments.
- Track and follow up on overdue premiums, ensuring compliance with payment terms.
- Send cancellation notices for overdue premiums.
- Prepare monthly performance reports for the Managing Director.
- Reconcile monthly income: premiums received, payments made, and commissions paid.
- Collaborate with the wider yacht team to resolve finance-related issues.
- Maintain relationships with insurers, agents, and brokers, resolving queries promptly.
- Provide general finance team support as needed.
- Play a supporting role in the implementation of a new finance system, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with underwriters, claims managers, and external partners.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in interpreting financial data.
- Knowledge of insurance financial processes, including premium collections and claims management (preferred but not essential).
- Experience in financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and claims processes.
- Experience with finance system implementation (preferred).
- Self-motivated, efficient, and adaptable.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with multi-currency BACS payments.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar finance systems (preferred).
