Finance Assistant (Temporary Assignment: 12 months)
Location: East Ham, LondonSalary: Pro Rata £27,656 (Term time Only + 2 weeks) / Full-time equivalent £30,495Temporary Rate: Based on overall salary
We are looking for a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our client on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will handle the day-to-day processing of financial transactions using the Trust’s financial systems and processes. This role is crucial in supporting the Finance Team's operations and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong grasp of financial management.
Key Responsibilities:- Supplier Management: Set up and maintain approved new suppliers in the finance system, including keeping paper files for audit purposes.
- Order and Delivery Management: Efficiently receive and record orders and deliveries, ensuring system accuracy.
- Invoice Processing: Process purchase invoices for authorisation and handle account queries related to orders and invoices.
- Order Follow-up: Chase orders not yet received for budget holders and assist with maintaining a filing system for purchases requiring quotes.
- Cash Management: Oversee the receipt, counting, safekeeping, and banking of all monies received, process petty cash and expenses, and manage systems for collecting cash for farm income and school trips.
- System Promotion: Promote the Parent Pay system and process monthly journals for the Trust.
- Documentation: Maintain finance documentation to audit standards and provide general administrative support as needed.
- Experience with financial systems, particularly PSF (PS Financials).
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage financial transactions with attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for handling queries and liaising with various stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to promoting systems and initiatives such as Parent Pay.
