Finance Assistant - Maternity Cover (12 Months)
Our client is seeking a skilled and organised Finance Assistant to provide maternity cover for a one-year period. This position is crucial for supporting the Finance team in delivering accurate and efficient financial operations. The successful candidate will thrive under pressure, work independently, and bring a proactive approach to problem-solving within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Finance Assistant :
- Assist with the production of monthly management accounts and support month-end processes.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
- Process invoices and ensure the accurate management of the purchase ledger.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
- Prepare and post monthly journals, including accruals and prepayments.
- Manage employee expense claims and oversee the Accounts inbox.
- Utilise Sage 200 (or other Sage systems) for financial tasks and reporting.
- Work extensively with Excel, including pivot tables, VLookups, XLookups, and formulas.
- Handle ad hoc duties and provide general support to the Finance team as required.
Key Attributes:
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Previous experience as a Finance Assistant within Property ideally.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Sage software and advanced Excel skills.
- A resourceful and proactive problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
