Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Fund Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This fully remote role involves supporting our fund finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fund accounting principles and experience in financial operations within the investment management industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of fund financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Support the calculation and reporting of Net Asset Values (NAV) for investment funds.
  • Process capital calls, distributions, and other fund-related transactions accurately and timely.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to fund activities.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of investor reports and respond to investor inquiries.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fund accounting operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fund accounting or financial operations within the investment management industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
