Are you a junior finance specialist with passionate about making a difference in the world? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded global humanitarian NGO, to find a motivated and passionate Grants Finance Assistant. In this role you will work as part of the project finance team, directly contributing to life-changing projects around the globe.As the Grants Finance Assistant, you'll support the finance team in managing grants, reconciling financial data, and ensuring smooth financial operations for global humanitarian programmes.Your Responsibilities

  • Grants Management: Allocate donor income, process fund transfers, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconciliation: Ensure grants, transfers, and expenditures are reconciled monthly, resolving discrepancies.
  • Reporting: Prepare financial reports, donor invoices, and revenue recognition journals.
  • Support Tasks: Manage project setups, bank account templates, and assist with audits and month-end deadlines.

What We're Looking ForEssential Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

  • AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant.
  • Advanced Excel skills (SUMIFS, IF, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Detail-oriented with experience managing large datasets
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ideally some exposure to or basic understanding of grants finance
