Interim Finance Assistant | VC-Backed Technology Scale-Up | London
The client
Harmonic are delighted to working with a VC Backed Technology Scale-up who are one of the UK's Tech success stories. Having disrupted the market with ground-breaking innovation, they have scaled internationally and are set to be a future market leader globally. Our client is looking for a up and coming finance professional to start immediately (within the next 2 weeks) and support their finance team as they come into a period of high workload. Our client has offices across the globe, but their London office has that of a dynamic start-up and they are looking for someone who can buy into their culture.
Backed by elite Venture Capital funds, our client's online platform is applicable across a number of industries and offers a wide range of tools and services. Located in fashionable area of Central London and boasting a non-corporate working environment, they are looking for someone who is keen to integrate themselves into the team. This position is initially a contract but if the fit is right their intention would be to transition to a permanent role thereafter.
The Role
Working alongside an experienced Finance Manager, with exposure the CFO and Financial Controller, this role will be crucial as they enter a period of high workload. The main focus of the role will revolve around Accounts Payable and data entry, with the opportunity to take on further responsibilities once up to speed.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable.
- Data entry.
- Partnering with international finance teams to ensure accuracy.
- Day to day management of the inbox.
- Preparing Payment runs.
- Ad-hoc tasks for the finance manager.
Essential skills
- 1-4 years' experience in a similar role.
- Able to hit the ground running.
- Ability to partner with other members of the finance team and across the business.
- Self-starter and astute problem solver.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to effectively manage upwards.
- Immediately available or on short notice.
Bonus Experience
- Experience within a start-up or scale-up would be ideal but not essential.
Day Rate: £150-£175/day
Location: Farringdon, London. On-site 5 days per week.
Start date: ASAP
Contract Length: 2-3 Months (potential permanent thereafter)
