We’re hiring a Junior Finance Assistant to join a dynamic team! This is the perfect opportunity for someone eager to grow, learn, and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and high-energy workplace.

This position is excellent is you are looking for a lively, fast-paste team culture as well as mentonship and study support.

Main duties:

  • Posting the journals onto the accounting package and reconciling to the control account
  • Administration of system and day-to-say support for claimants
  • Journal adjustments for initial lead cost centre
  • Extracting monthly credit card statements uploading for cardholders
  • Auditing, collating and sending claims for payment
  • Posting of journal onto accounting package and reconciling to control account
  • Completing weekly bank reconciliations
  • Performing bank revaluation at month end
  • Reconciling and replenishing petty cash accounts
  • Updating exchange rates on systems
  • Coding and inputting Purchase Ledger invoices into System
  • Sending invoices for approval and reporting the managers
  • Managing the Aged creditor reports and statement reconciliations
  • Completing weekly payment runs to suppliers
  • Setting up new suppliers
  • Month end processes, accruals, reconciliation and ledger closures

You will be:

  • Good general accounting knowledge with basic double entry book keeping for creditor accounts
  • Accurate, numerate with good IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Team player and a pro-active participant in the finance team
  • Strong yet Personable character/style.
  • Ability to work independently, proactive and self motivated.
  • Experience with dealing with UK and international suppliers and trading partners
  • Excellent communication skills, telephone manner and technique and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Studier of Accounting Qualification, AAT, CIMA or ACCA
  • Good with deadlines
