Are you an experienced Legal Cashier looking for an exciting new opportunity? Our client are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join their friendly and fast-paced finance team.
About the Role
As a Legal Cashier, you will play a vital role in supporting the firm’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. You’ll work closely with fee earners, the Finance Manager, and other key stakeholders to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring client accounts, processing payments, and allocating incoming funds
- Ensuring timely banking of client and office account cheques
- Handling outgoing cheques and ensuring correct authorisations
- Identifying and reporting any SRA breaches as required
- Assisting with finance-related projects, including audits and compliance work
- Ensuring strict adherence to SAR, VAT, and MLR regulatory obligations
- Providing general support to the finance team and assisting with ad hoc duties
What They’re Looking For
- Practical experience in accounts administration within a legal environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and up-to-date familiarity with SRA Accounts Rules
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising tasks effectively
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality work
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment
- A proactive problem-solver with sound decision-making skills
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, with some flexibility required during busy periods.
