Part-Time Senior Finance Assistant (4 days per week) | Acclaimed TV and Film SME | London/Hybrid

The Client

Our client is an industry-leading TV and Film studio specialising in award-winning, commercially successful films.

The Role

As the business works to insource their finance function, your responsibility will be to support with the day-to-day management of the finance function, most specifically AP and AR, payroll, and supporting with the completion of month-end.

Working alongside a talented Fractional CFO, this role will be responsible for supporting with invoice processing, maintaining the sales ledger, reconciliations, preparing payroll, and be involved with the month end close process.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the media and creative industries and possess strong communications skills. Being dynamic, ambitious, and keen to learn is integral to this role as there are clear opportunities for progression over time as they build their in-house finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly collaborative business and really engraining yourself in a highly successful SME in the TV and Film industry.

This is a part-time role, working 4 days a week. The client is based in Soho and has a preference for in-person work but can be flexible with hybrid requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the day-to-day finance function
  • Maintaining the sales ledger
  • Processing invoices and expenses
  • Support with payroll preparation
  • Assist with management accounts
  • Preparing financial analyses as needed
  • Perform payment runs (payroll, VAT, etc.)
  • Collaborate across the business to support the wider business with finance/accounting matters
  • Assist the Fractional CFO with weekly, monthly and quarterly close/reporting
  • Ad hoc tasks to support the finance function of the business

What we need to see (required):

  • Previous experience in the media/creative/marketing/PR/events industry
  • Knowledge of Xero

Salary: £32,000-£37,000 (pro rata)

Location: Central London

Part-Time: 4 days/week
