Part-time Finance Assistant

Location: Large Academy, Greenwich

Hours: 12:00pm - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (Part-Time)

TimePlan Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a large academy in Greenwich for a Part-Time Finance Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional with knowledge of FMS (Financial Management System) to play a vital role in supporting the school's finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Managing incoming invoices and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.

Bank Reconciliation: Assisting with the reconciliation of school bank accounts and petty cash.

Budget Monitoring: Supporting the Finance Manager in monitoring the school's budget and producing variance reports.

Financial Reporting: Preparing regular financial reports for the senior leadership team and governors.

Purchase Orders: Raising and processing purchase orders, ensuring compliance with school finance procedures.

Payroll Assistance: Supporting payroll preparation to ensure accurate and timely payment of staff.

Handling School Income: Processing payments from school activities such as school dinners, trips, and events.

Maintaining Financial Records: Ensuring all financial documentation is up to date and correctly filed for auditing purposes.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Finance Assistant in a school setting is essential.

Proficiency in FMS (Schools Financial Management System).

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
