The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to financial management, and reporting.

The Role:

As a Senior Finance Assistant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our organisation. You'll be entrusted with managing accounts payable, handling accruals and prepayments, performing regular revenue and bank reconciliations. Your proficiency in Excel will be utilised for manipulating and analysing financial data while creating comprehensive reports. Familiarity with Xero Financial Software will be an added advantage as it forms an integral part of our financial operations. You'll also play a key role in inter-departmental liaison ensuring smooth operations by providing accurate financial information. Your contribution towards policy and procedure development will help optimise efficiency within the finance department. Lastly, your supportive nature will shine through as you provide assistance to your team when required.

  • Management of Accounts Payable including processing payments, maintaining cost reports, managing invoices and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Handling accruals and prepayments ensuring that all necessary accruals and prepayments are accurately recorded in a timely manner.
  • Performing revenue and bank reconciliations regularly cross-verifying and reconciling the company's bank statements with internal financial records.
  • Using Excel for Financial Tasks manipulating and analysing financial data using Excel, creating comprehensive financial reports.
  • Using Xero Financial Software for various financial tasks such as data entry, reporting, and analysis.
  • Assisting in Financial Reporting including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Inter-department Liaison working closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Policy and Procedure Development assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Team Support providing support to the finance team as needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

As the ideal candidate for the Senior Finance Assistant role, you bring a strong background in finance with a focus on accounts payable, accruals, prepayments, revenue and bank reconciliations. Your proficiency in Excel and experience with Xero will be highly valued. You are known for your excellent attention to detail and organisational skills which enable you to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills make you a dependable team player.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, and / or studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA).
  • Proven experience in a finance assistant role.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, accruals, prepayments, revenue & bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ideally experience using Xero.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
