Our client is seeking a dedicated and dependable Metals Operations Associate to join their Post Trade Operations team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the heart of industrial metals trading, providing operational support for both internal and external users of exchange systems. What you'll do:

As a Metals Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role within our Post Trade Operations team. Your daily tasks will involve providing operational support for both internal and external users of exchange systems such as LMEsmart, LMEsword, and LMEpassport. You will be expected to work within a team while also being recognised as significant individual contributors. Your responsibilities will cover general duties undertaken by the team in addition to working with bespoke centres of excellence supporting our Matching and Warranting activities on a rotational basis.

* Provide day-to-day support for activities undertaken by the Post Trade Operations team.* Work with bespoke centres of excellence supporting Matching and Warranting activities on a rotational basis.* Act as primary point of contact for LMEsmart related production issues or queries.* Perform quarterly audit of internal users for LMEsmart.* Participate in on-boarding / off-boarding meetings and adhere to the run-book.* Raise CRs to support future enhancements to the platform.* Update comprehensive FAQs in a standardised format aligned to Warranting team.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Metals Operations Associate role will bring a wealth of experience from similar positions. You will have strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and practical experience working with Microsoft Office Suite & Windows XP. Knowledge of FIX would be beneficial but is not essential. You are customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills, able to build close relationships with fellow colleagues while being a flexible team player. Your ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines will be key to your success in this role.
