KBM is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students pursuing accounting qualifications. The role involves preparing lesson plans, conducting assessments, and providing both academic and pastoral support to ensure students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of students studying accounting.
  • Conduct assessments, provide timely feedback, and support students in completing assignments and projects.
  • Offer one-on-one learning support and study advice to help students progress and succeed.
  • Maintain and update printed and e-learning resources, ensuring they meet current educational standards.
  • Coordinate with management to create and maintain timetables for all qualifications offered.
  • Prepare for external inspections and visits by awarding bodies.
  • Work closely with colleagues and students to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in regular performance reviews and teaching observations.
  • Attend standardisation meetings to ensure consistency in teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with the Admin team regarding student affairs, including attendance, progress, and general welfare.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their best academic results.
  • Participate in awards ceremonies and other student-focused events.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • A relevant accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, AAT, or equivalent).
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience, preferably in an accounting or financial subject.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to support and motivate students, both academically and personally.
  • Competent in using e-learning platforms and educational technology.
  • Organisational skills for lesson planning and resource management.
  • Collaborative team player with a passion for teaching and student success.
