Art Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons that spark creativity and passion for art.
  • Teach students across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of artistic techniques and concepts.
  • Support and encourage students to explore their artistic abilities and express themselves creatively.
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with other members of the faculty to promote the arts across the school.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.
  • Ensure all lessons align with the National Curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
Art Teacher Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience as an Art Teacher in a secondary school setting (preferred).
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for the arts.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
