GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a dynamic SEMH secondary school in Kensington and Chelsea. This full-time role involves teaching Art to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering their creativity and helping them express themselves through artistic exploration.

About the Role:
As an Art Teacher, you will play a vital role in engaging students through creative expression. Your teaching will encourage students to explore their artistic talents, develop new skills, and gain confidence in their abilities. As an Art Teacher, your responsibilities will be:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, tailored to their individual needs.
- Design a curriculum that combines artistic theory with practical exploration.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports creative expression.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate the specific needs of SEMH students, ensuring every learner feels valued and supported.
- Support students in building confidence, resilience, and transferable skills through Art.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement individual learning plans and strategies.
- Inspire a love for Art and creativity among students while helping them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Art Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Art at KS3 and KS4 in secondary schools.
- Previous experience working with SEMH students or in a similar environment is essential.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the well-being of all students.
