Are you a passionate and creative Art Teacher eager to inspire young minds? If so, GSL Education are looking for an exceptional Art Teacher to join a welcoming school in Newham on a long-term basis starting from Monday, 27th January 2025.

About the Role: As an Art Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to students, fostering their creativity and appreciation for the arts. You will play a crucial role in helping students develop their artistic skills and confidence while preparing them for assessments and examinations.

Art Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Art lessons to students across Key Stages.
  • Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Encourage creativity and critical thinking through engaging projects and activities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect and creativity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the Art curriculum and wider school activities.
  • Organise exhibitions or showcases to celebrate student achievements in Art.

Art Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Art or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Art at a secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for inspiring creativity and nurturing talent in students.
  • The ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
