Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with this Client, a highly regarded secondary school in Newham, to appoint a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Art for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. This full-time position is available from February to May 2025 and is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Art department in a well-established school environment.

Job Role Requirements:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that inspires students to develop their artistic skills and appreciation for the subject.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and extracurricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and engagement in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • A passion for the subject and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
