Art Technician (Full-Time, Long-Term) - Mainstream Secondary School in Greenwich

Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Technician to join our vibrant art department at a leading mainstream secondary school in Greenwich. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering an exciting opportunity to support our talented students and staff in delivering high-quality art education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and practical support to art teachers and students during lessons
  • Maintain and organise the art studio, including the preparation of materials and equipment (e.g., paints, brushes, easels, etc.)
  • Assist with the setup and display of student artwork for exhibitions, both within the school and at external events
  • Manage and stock inventory, ensuring all materials are available for lessons
  • Support health and safety procedures, ensuring safe practices in the art studio
  • Assist in the creation of visual teaching aids and resources
  • Help students with the use of specialist equipment and materials

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for art and creativity
  • Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced school environment
  • A DBS on the update service (essential)
  • Commitment to supporting the development of young artists

Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience.
