Art Technician WantedFull-Time, Long-Term - Immediate StartMainstream Secondary School - Lewisham

Are you passionate about art and looking for an opportunity to support students in a creative environment? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Technician to join our vibrant art department at a mainstream secondary school in Lewisham. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Art Teachers in preparing materials and equipment for lessons
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised art studio and storage area
  • Supporting students during practical lessons, offering guidance and help with materials and equipment
  • Assisting in the display of student artwork across the school
  • Managing and replenishing art supplies and materials
  • Helping with administrative tasks such as photocopying and lesson preparation
  • Ensuring all equipment and materials are safely stored and meet health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Passion for art and creativity
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a technician or support role is preferred, but not essential
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the Update Service is required
  • Flexibility and a willingness to learn

Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience.
