Art Technician - Full-Time, Immediate Start - Mainstream Secondary School, Southwark

Are you passionate about art and eager to support the creativity of young minds? We are looking for a dedicated Art Technician to join our vibrant art department at a mainstream secondary school in Southwark. This is a long-term, full-time role with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Art Department in preparing materials and equipment for lessons.
  • Maintain and organise art supplies, equipment, and classrooms to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Assist teachers during practical lessons, helping students with equipment and materials.
  • Support the creation of displays and exhibitions of student work around the school.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met in the classroom and storage areas.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and managing inventory.
Requirements:
  • A passion for art and an interest in working with young people.
  • Previous experience as an Art Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A DBS certificate on the update service is required.
Pay Range:
