About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to work with a client of ours, a diverse secondary school. As an agency, we are committed to providing schools with highly skilled staff who can offer essential support to students facing emotional and behavioural challenges. This role will involve working closely with students to manage their behaviour, encourage positive outcomes, and support their overall well-being.

The successful candidate will be required to support the school in promoting a positive learning environment, implementing effective behaviour management strategies, and providing mentorship to students in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with emotional and behavioural challenges by providing one-to-one and small group mentoring.
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure success.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to create and review individual support plans.
  • Encourage students to develop self-regulation skills and improve their social interactions.
  • Provide regular updates to the school on student progress and provide suggestions for ongoing support.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, restorative practices, and emotional well-being strategies.
  • Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or related fields (desirable but not essential).
