Biology Teacher
We are working with an outstanding secondary school located in Hillingdon who are currently recruiting a biology teacher.
Due to an unexpected absence, we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and commit until July 2025 with the possibility of continuing in the next academic year or transferring permanently.
This position is full time, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.
Salary will match outer London MPS/UPS.
The team you will be working with are very supportive and the science faculty is well-equipped.
We are looking for a biology teacher who will be:
- methodical in their approach to science and the wider world
- apply their scientific knowledge to help solve challenges (scientific or otherwise)
- understand the uses and implications of science, today and in the future
- encourage students to understand how science can be used to explain what is occurring, predict how things will behave, and analyse
Staff at the school are dedicated, motivated and determined to enable students to fulfil their potential. All pupils are treated as 'special' to meet both the needs of those deemed 'Gifted and Talented' as well as those with Special Educational Needs.
Qualifications and Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A relevant degree
- Proven experience teaching Biology
- Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
