A large Secondary School based in Redbridge is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Computer Science Teacher to start from September.

The School

This large Secondary School located in the borough of Redbridge, are looking to recruit a Computer Science Teacher to join their team in September. This is a very exciting time to join this school - The recently appointed Head Teacher, together with a supportive Senior Leadership Team are working very hard to implement changes to move the school forward. They are looking to bring likeminded leaders, teachers and support staff to join their team, who will share their same desires and ambitions to succeed.

Their recent Ofsted states 'This school has seen significant changes since the last inspection. Pupils are beginning to benefit from recent improvements. The expectations for pupils' achievement have increased as a result of the clear strategic vision that has been set out by the new headteacher.'

The school has great public transport links nearby with a London Underground station only a 5 minute walk from the school. Parking is also available.

Computer Science Teacher

This school are looking to appoint a qualified teacher of Computer Science/IT who will be responsible for teaching KS3 - KS5. As a school they are on a journey to embed powerful knowledge, curriculum rigour and expert teaching practice across all subjects, leading to outstanding outcomes for students. Computer Science in an integral part of the school curriculum. Students are exposed to a mix of Computer Science and Information Technology topics, giving them a greater understanding of the two subjects. The topics students study creates an inspiring and exciting learning experience. Regardless of individual backgrounds and abilities, the Computer Science curriculum caters for all, offering inclusive learning lessons that meet the needs of all.

The role is to start in September and the school are looking for someone who is able to commit for the academic year with the opportunity for a permanent contract to be offered for the right candidate.

To be considered for this Computer Science Teacher role you must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • PGCE in Computer Science
  • Experience teaching Computer Science to KS3 - KS5
