We are working with a high-performing secondary school in Newham. This Secondary School which includes Year 7 - Year 13 pride themselves on having high expectations across all areas of school life. The school are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join our exceptional team and contribute to the continued success of our students. This position is to start after the Easter break and there is flexibility for a temporary or a permanent position.

This position is full-time and will involve teaching KS3,, KS4, and KS5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Computer Science.

  • Inspire students to develop an interest in the subject and achieve their full potential.

  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.

  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and up to date.

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, discipline, and respect in line with school expectations.

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.

  • Actively participate in the wider school community and contribute to extracurricular activities when required.

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher. The successful candidate will possess:

  • A relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • A teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and experience in delivering Computer Science lessons.

  • A strong understanding of the curriculum and how to engage students effectively.

  • The ability to differentiate teaching to cater to diverse learning needs.

  • High expectations of both students and themselves, with a commitment to continuous professional development.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
