We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic secondary school in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in teaching or those with experience in education who enjoy working with young people.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Support students with their learning and maintain high expectations.
- Work across a range of subjects, providing cover where needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks and support staff as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or school experience).
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- A passion for education and supporting students.
- A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).
