Quantum Scholars are working with a well-established and dynamic secondary school in North West London who are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join their dedicated school from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about design and technology, and eager to inspire the next generation of innovators.

The school hiring are a mixed comprehensive secondary school with ages from 11-18 years of age. They're based in North West London with great access to public transport links. They are rated as a "Good" school by Ofsted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Learning: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4, in subjects including Product Design, Resistant Materials, and possibly Engineering or Electronics. Tailor your teaching to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.

  • Curriculum Development: Work collaboratively with the Design Technology department to develop, review, and enhance the curriculum to ensure it aligns with national standards and inspires student creativity.

  • Assessment & Feedback: Provide regular formative and summative assessments, track student progress, and offer constructive feedback to support students' development.

  • Classroom Management: Establish a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and motivated to learn.

  • Extracurricular Activities: Support and lead extracurricular activities related to Design Technology, such as after-school clubs, workshops, and school-wide projects.

  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices, stay updated on technological advancements, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
