About the Role:
As a Secondary DT Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in Design and Technology to students at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to inspire and challenge students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular learning and contribute to the school's DT curriculum development.
- Participate actively in school events, extra-curricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience as a DT Teacher in a UK secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the UK DT curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective classroom management skills with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
- A commitment to maintaining high educational standards for all students
