Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher looking to inspire and educate? We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join our mixed multicultural secondary school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our inclusive and supportive learning environment.
English Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and creative English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Support students' literacy development through effective teaching strategies.
- Plan and prepare resources and assessments in line with the curriculum.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their learning journey.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the English department's success.
English Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
- Ability to differentiate teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Experience teaching English at secondary level is desirable but not essential for NQTs.
