Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher looking to inspire and educate? We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join our mixed multicultural secondary school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our inclusive and supportive learning environment.

English Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and creative English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Support students' literacy development through effective teaching strategies.
  • Plan and prepare resources and assessments in line with the curriculum.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the English department's success.

English Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level is desirable but not essential for NQTs.
