GSL Education’s London Branch are looking for a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join an Ofsted rated Outstanding coeducational secondary school in Newham. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your teaching expertise to a dynamic school environment on a maternity cover basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in teaching English at both KS3 and KS4 levels, with a genuine commitment to student success.
English Teacher Job Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging and creative English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet curriculum standards.
- Support students in reaching their full potential through differentiated instruction.
- Assess and record student progress, ensuring consistent improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Work closely with other English Teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning experience.
English Teacher Job Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with proven experience as an English Teacher.
- A strong understanding of the English curriculum, especially at KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a positive approach to discipline.
- A passion for teaching English and helping students achieve their best.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
