Salary: £185 - £285 per day

Contract: Long-term until January 2026

GSL Education London Branch are looking for an English Teacher to join a dynamic co-educational secondary school in Newham. This is an excellent opportunity for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) or experienced educators looking for a long-term role in a supportive and thriving environment.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students can thrive.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to encourage improvement.
• Use creative teaching methods to inspire a love for literature and language.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and share best practices.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and discipline.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities that promote English learning and enrichment.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge of English Literature and Language.
• Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
• Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Previous teaching experience in a UK secondary school (ECTs are welcome to apply).
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A passion for teaching and a dedication to student success.
