English Teacher needed for an SEMH ProvisionTLTP are looking for a qualified English teacher to work full-time at an SEMH Alternative Provision. The ideal candidate would have experience of working with secondary KS3/KS4 pupils with social emotional and mental health needs.The setting is a specialist provision based in Brent, London. This is a provision that's teaches pupils in KS3 & KS4 who are unable to attend their mainstream school due to their behavioural challenges.Many of the pupils have emotional and mental health needs. The main differences are:Reduced curriculum offer- the provision delivers core subjectsClass sizes max 8-10 with some additional TA support in classes.Therapeutic and nurturing environment and approaches to support access to the curriculum. There is no specialist knowledge about Mental Health needed the pupils just want good teaching in class so they can get their GCSEs and move forwardThis is an excellent opportunity to secure a long term position! The provision are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and compassionate English teacher to come on board and join their hard working team. Required skills:You will need to have QTS or QTLSYou will be required to be committed to the development of both yourself and the pupils in your class.
