We are working with a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Merton that is seeking a passionate English Teacher to join their dedicated team. The Role:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for suitable candidates. You will play a key role in helping students develop strong literacy skills and a love for literature.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to students of varying abilities.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.

  • Holds UK QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification).
  • Has experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting or is an ECT looking to start their career in a supportive school.
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature.
  • Is committed to student progress, engagement, and high academic achievement.
  • Has strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire a love for learning.
